June 2022

So as I was posting this month’s blog, it disappeared. So forgive me for just posting pictures and a few captions. I usually write the blog as the month goes along, so being able to remember that far back is a bit much for my feeble brain.

I can tell you that the month has been full of a lot of side work with Empower and some frustration as well. Traveling to the Midwest for a wedding and heading to Bali for a Telford vacation we’re definitely the highlights of the month, and the Bali vacation continues until July 11th.

When we got to Missouri, we sat up our office in the basement storage room. This is where we did online teaching to the Middle East two years ago. It brought back horrible memories for sure.

Pre-wedding pedicures.

The best amusement park in the world, in my opinion.

A water ride is generally worth the wet clothes…..to kids at least.

Miniature golf is always fun in Branson.

Grammie and Pop are always up for fun.

Grammie’s surprise 80th birthday party in Arkansas.

The flower shop!

The wedding.

The happy couple.

The siblings all dressed up.

Back in Branson and on the mountain roller coaster.

Go carts were super fun.

She was forced to make her own grilled cheese sandwich as I was Covid positive and trying to keep everyone healthy. It seems my niece’s wedding was a super spreader event as Mitch, my mom, my dad and myself tested positive about 5 days after the wedding. Ugh!

Jack decided to make Millie and early birthday cake. The two days they were forced to quarantine both kids were bored. We decided to give Millie her early birthday present as we wanted her to have her AirPods for our Bali trip. She was very excited.

We decided a pool day was necessary on Father’s Day and we were able to stay away from each other.

Jack and Stuart played basketball.

A morning at Top Golf was needed to celebrate a belated Father’s Day.

Pedis in preparation for Bali.

Flight one to LA.

An In and Out burger by the airport and a picture in front of the LAX letters right off the run way.

Second flight to Singapore.

Third flight to Bali.

Getting ready to get off in Bali. Our paradise for 11 days.

The Apurva Kempinski was our home for two nights.

This hotel was amazing. Deemed as one of the top 5 hotels in the world.

This flower was growing on a tree. It was stunning.

Happy hour on top of a restaurant? Okay!

The lobby of the hotel at night. We had wandered up to get Matt and his family.

These suits are all the same size. Millie is nearly 11, Harper is 7 and Zoe is 6. Ha!

Our first full day at the hotel. A day in the pool is always fun. We were just missing Uncle James.

This was connected to our toilet. It was an extravagant bum washer.

The villa we are going to on Sunday will be our home for the next 8 days. We are excited for the fun to come.
